Prices are closed with a slight reduction shares in today’s meeting (17.6.2024) at Stock Exchange in Athens, characterized by high volatility. The market failed to recover from Friday’s (14.6.2024) sharp fall, but held above the 1,400 level, which it broke intra-session down.
The General Index of the Greek stock market closed at 1,404.11 points, down 0.20%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price of 1,419.49 points (+0.89%) and a lower price of 1,395.06 points (-0.84%). The value of the transactions amounted to 93.81 million euros, while 24,444,420 shares were sold.
The large-cap index fell 0.17%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.01%.
Among the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded in the shares of Lamda Development (+3.38%), Jumbo (+1.64%) and Mytileneos (+1.48%). On the contrary, the largest decrease was recorded in the shares of Titan (-2.36%), Piraeus (-2.33%), Alpha Bank (-1.04%) and Elvalhalcor (-0.98%).
The largest number of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 9,373,756 and 5,253,176 shares, respectively. The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 18.51 million euros and Alpha Bank with 14.22 million euros.
48 stocks increased, 55 decreased and 18 remained stable. The biggest increases were recorded in the shares: Akritas +25.33% and Xylemporia(p) +8.30%. The biggest decrease was registered in the shares: Kyriakoulis -4.64% and Euroconsultants -3.03%.
