The prices of shares in the current session (20.6.2024) of the Athens Stock Exchange, characterized by high volatility.
Shares of Motor Oil and ELPE were pressured, after announcing a remarkable contribution of 33% to the refineries’ profit. The shares of GEK TERNA and TERNA ENERGY increased, after the announcement of an agreement for the sale of 36.59% of TERNA ENERGY to Masdar, while they also showed intense trading activity.
The General Index closed at 1,421.71 points, down 0.31%. Intra-sessionally it fluctuates in a fluctuation range of 23.13 points. It recorded a higher price of 1,434.66 points (+0.59%) and a lower price of 1,411.53 points (-1.03%).
The value of the transactions amounted to 159.69 million euros, while 25,501,408 shares were sold. The large-cap index fell 0.22%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.78%.
In the upper part of the capitalization, the biggest increase was recorded in the shares of PPC (+2.10%), Jumbo (+1.75%), GEK TERNA (+1.44%), TITAN (+1, 37%) and TERNA ENERGY ( + 0.89%). On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded in the shares of Motor Oil (-3.36%), ELPE (-2.87%), PPA (-2.53%) and Piraeus (-1.80%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest number of transactions, selling 6,489,725 and 3,708,588 shares, respectively. The highest transaction value was recorded by TERNA ENERGY with 38.18 million euros and GEK TERNA with 18.35 million euros.
55 stocks rose, 54 fell and 13 remained stable. The biggest increases were recorded in the shares: Q&R +5.76% and Voyatzoglou Systems +5.74%. The biggest drop was recorded in the shares: Xylemporia (p) -24.96% and Moda Bango -9.21%.
