Athens Stock Exchange: Closing at 0.28%, turnover

The prices of shares at the end of the meeting today (25.6.2024) at Stock Exchange in Athens, although in most transactions they moved slightly higher.

In particular, the market shows a better picture compared to the European stock market, which registered significant losses, despite cutting dividends in some stocks.

The General Price Index closed at 1,420.06 points, down 0.28%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price of 1,431.81 points (+0.55%) and a lower price of 1,419.17 points (-0.34%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 157.09 million euros, while 40,099,118 shares were sold.

The large-cap index fell 0.31%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.46%.

Among the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded in the shares of Motor Oil (+3.54%), Coca Cola HBC (+1.82%), Eurobank (+1.33%) and OTE (+0.95%).

On the contrary, the biggest decrease was recorded in the shares of Titan (-5.39%), Piraeus (-2.57%), Ethniki (-2.49%) and GEK TERNA (-2.47%).

The shares of Optima Bank (0.44 euros), Titan (0.85 euros), HEXAE (0.24 euros), ElvalHalcor (0.04 euros), Viohalco (0.12 euros), Cenergy (0.08 euros), Quest Holdings (0.22 euros) and Intracom ( 0.05 euros).

The largest number of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading 11,093,340 and 8,198,799 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Eurobank with 23.79 million euros and National Bank with 20.77 million euros.

45 stocks increased, 64 decreased and 10 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded in the shares: Tria ‘Alfa (k) +9.32% and Kecrops +8.95%.

The biggest decline was recorded in the shares: Intercontinental International -29.88% and Progressive -9.42%
