IBAN is optional for citizens who have reached the age of 65 or have a disability of 67% or more, because they are not entitled to a tax refund.

The Independent Public Revenue Authority facilitates citizens who have reached the age of 65, ie born until 31/12/1958, and citizens with a disability of 67% or more, to submit their declaration.

Specifically, from today 11/6/2024, citizens belonging to the above categories are not required to disclose an account Iván before the submission of the income tax return for the tax year 2023, unless their return shows a credit balance or an amount of other tax pending for them to be returned.

It is pointed out that the Iván can be expressed:

  • In the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr) following the path Register & Contact > IBAN Account Statement
  • In the myAADEapp mobile app by selecting Contact Details > Iván.

Noted so far:

  • As of 4/25/2024, the tax return submission start date for this year, 854,243 have been declared. Iván.
  • There remain 75,464 citizens who have reached the age of 65 or have a disability of 67% or more, are entitled to a tax refund and are not declared. Iván.
