With little fluctuation in movement transactions today (17.7.2024) at the opening of its meeting Stock Exchange in Athens, amid a falling climate in European markets.
The General Index of the Greek stock exchange, at 11:00, stood at 1,449.17 points, marking a marginal drop of 0.02%. The value of the transactions amounted to 7.37 million euros. The large-cap index was down slightly by 0.03%, while the mid-cap index was down slightly by 0.07%.
Among the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded in the shares of Ellactor (+0.77%), DAA (+0.63%) and Coca Cola HBC (+0.62%). On the contrary, the biggest decrease was registered in the shares of Titan (-0.80%) and Jumbo (-0.63%).
39 stocks rose, 21 fell and 15 remained stable. Minerva shares +6.78% and Kecrops +2.53% recorded the greatest increase, while Klosterias Nafpaktos -2.86% and Dromeas -2.80% shares recorded the greatest decline.
European stock markets
European shares fell at the start of trading for the third consecutive session today, with shares of Dutch ASML under pressure after it announced a downbeat forecast.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was down 0.3% at 10:17 GMT, with the technology shares index down 1.9%.
Shares of semiconductor company ASML fell 5.3% after third-quarter sales estimates missed market estimates.
