At slightly lower levels today (27.6.2024) share prices are moving at the opening of the meeting Stock Exchange Athens.
The General Index of the Greek stock exchange, at 11:00, stood at 1,404.14 points, marking a slight decrease of 0.15%. The value of the transactions amounted to 3.85 million euros. The large-cap index fell 0.12%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.27%.
In high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded in the shares of Jumbo (+1.13%), Ellaktor (+0.81%), Mytilene (+0.74%) and Piraeus (+0.54%). On the contrary, the biggest decrease was registered in the shares of Viohalco (-1.03%), EYDAP (-0.90%) and PPC (-0.73%).
21 stocks increased, 18 decreased and 10 remained stable.
The biggest increase was registered in the shares SIDMA +3.33% and Kecrops +3.00%, while the biggest decrease was recorded in the shares Mathios Pyrimaha -8.39% and Evrofarma -4.08%.
European stock markets
European stock markets were little changed in early trade today (27/06/2024), with investors cautious ahead of the release of European and US economic data later in the week and parliamentary elections in France on Sunday (30/06/2024). .
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was unchanged at 514.65 points at 10:10 Greek time.
The index of retail companies fell 2.2%, led by H&M, the world’s second-largest clothing chain, which fell 12.5% after reporting lower-than-expected quarterly earnings and forecasts of lower sales in June.
