The main European stock markets opened lower on Tuesday (25/6), after the deterioration of the situation in the American markets at the beginning of the week.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.31% to 517.24 points. Technology stocks fell 1.53%, while oil and gas rose 0.99%.
In Germany the DAX decreased by 1.08% to 18,145.45 points, in France the CAC 40 lost 0.57% to 7,663.02 points, while in Britain the FTSE 100 strengthened by 0.12% to 8,291.51 points. In Spain the IBEX 35 decreased 0.20% to 11,149.85 points and in Italy the FTSE MIB decreased 0.22% to 33,761 points.
Global markets fell as investors sold US Big Tech stocks on Monday benefiting sectors such as banking and energy. Nvidia fell 6.7% and was one of the biggest losers on the Nasdaq. Information technology was the worst performer among the S&P 500 sectors, down more than 2%
