Pensions continue to fluctuate at low levels old age for most pensioners. The average pension in June is only 816.95 euros while the average supplementary does not exceed 196.85 euros.
According to the data of the “Helios” report, the salary of all pensioners in the country hardly exceeds 820 euros, gross.
In fact, for another month, six out of ten payments are less than 1,000 euros in gross income, confirming the figures of the extremely difficult financial position in which the majority of the country’s 2,495,464 pensioners find themselves their own.
From the analysis of the data, it can be seen that the large gap between the new payments for beneficiaries from the private sector (749.11 euros) and those from the public sector (1,224.45 euros) was maintained in June.
Pensions and comparison between June and May
From processing the latest report, we can see that the average elderly pension is 816.95 euros (816 euros in May), the average widow’s pension is 495.24 (494 euros in May), while the average disability pension is 538, 64 euros. (538 euros in May). The average supplementary pension is 199.94 euros.
Upon further analysis of the data, it appears that the granting of new pensions continues at a satisfactory pace (27,079 in June). Of these, more than half (14,884 or 54.96%) are elderly.
In fact, for the 27,079 new pensions, which were paid for the first time in June, the total cost amounted to 15.6 million euros, which corresponds to an average of 576.6 euros per pensioner.
In total, around €124 million will have to be spent to provide the new pensions. But of this amount, more than 108 million euros are retroactive, indicating that there is a significant delay in granting these pensions.
The Elements of the “Sun” System
Pensioners were estimated at 2,495,464 people in June. An increase of 1,729 pensioners was recorded within a month.
- More than €2.6 billion was spent on paying pensions in June. In particular, 4,626,455 pensions were paid, of which 2,843,427 were primary (old age, death, disability and uninsured elderly), 1,351,139 were supplementary, while 432,189 dividends were also given.
- Old age pensions alone amounted to 1,910,220. Of these, most, more precisely 1,016,274, were given to male pensioners (53.2%).
- 385,444 death pensions were paid. Of these, the majority, 351,975 (91.31%) were given to women.
- Among all old age pensions, the average pension is 816.95 euros. Even if all the main pensions are added, an average of 820.27 euros is paid. Consequently, the average subsidiary does not exceed 196.85 euros and dividends of 111.85 euros.
- In terms of age, most pensioners are in the 71-75 age category (463,018 people or 18.55%). It is followed by the 76-80 age group with 432,534 pensioners (17.33%). Therefore, 35.88% of pensioners, or one in three, are between the ages of 71 and 80.
Average income and total expenses
- At the level of average income from pensions, the data of the report shows that the 61-65-year-olds are in the first place with 1,120.82 euros in gross income. Pensioners in the 66-70 age group follow with 1,086.26 euros gross. Remember that, for the calculation of the average income, the pensions of all categories (old age, death, disability) that can be received by a pensioner are added.
- From the total of the main pensions, 318,416 (percentage of 16.56%) are recognized as not exceeding 500 euros. There are also another 841,667 primary pensions (43.78% rate) from 501 to 1,000 euros in gross income. Therefore, it is seen that in June also, 1,160,083 primary pensions (60.34%) do not exceed 1,000 euros.
- In June, 27,079 new pensions were paid. The total cost for these pensions amounted to 15,614,615 euros, while another 108,327,895 euros was paid retroactively, due to several months of delay in their final grant. Therefore, in total, an amount of 123,942,510 euros was paid to issue and grant new pensions in June.
27,079 new pensions in June
Of the 27,079 new pensions paid, 14,884 were elderly (54.96%). Of all the new old-age pensions, almost half (7,731 or 51.94%) were paid by EFKA and an average of 749.11 euros was given per beneficiary case. However, at the same time, in June, 1,056 old age pensions were granted by the State, which brought, on average, 1,224.45 euros to the beneficiaries.
